International Women’s Day 2024 in Eressos

Once again, Sappho Women are striking the IWD pose. This year’s theme “Inspire Inclusion” resonates with us; now in our 24th year, it’s time for us to reflect as we recognise our role in fostering and promoting inclusion.

We are passionate about bringing women together from across the globe; those with a shared vision of social and community partnership and the drive to develop skills, knowledge and creativity. Our aim is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women with a sharp focus on those from the LGBTQI community.

We’ve had the absolute privilege over the past 12 months to meet with, collaborate and share ideas with some incredibly motivated, inspirational individuals and groups from across the world as well as forming positive and creative partnerships more locally that benefit us all.

Some examples include the South Korean Lesbian Enterprise “Guerrilla”, Columbian journalists, Munich University of Applied Science, The U.S Embassy, students from the Metochi Study Centre, EuroCentralAsian Lesbian Community (EL*C) and Tello Films. We continue to enhance and enrich local connections and partnerships benefiting all those involved.
